Room Needed for NHS Professional Female
Hi,
I've decided to pop up an add in the hopes of sharing a bit about myself as I start looking for new accommodation. This may be easier for prospective landlords to find out some information.
I am a 31 year old (soon to be 32), currently employed by the NHS to complete a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with the university of Plymouth (Band 6 = £35k/annum). This means I am in NHS services 3 days per week where I work as a trainee psychologist and then two days per week, I am in university lectures. It does mean I may have some study days and will work from home. As for my status, I am both a student and a professional, meaning I do not pay council tax, however, as my course is a full time job, we do not have easter/Christmas or summer breaks and thus need permanent, full time accommodation.
I am looking for a decent sized double, ideally with enough storage space and a desk to be able to work privately from my rented accommodation (as some conversations will be private this is essential to maintain confidentiality). I also need access to parking (on or off street), this is essential as I will commute with work.
I do experience allergic reactions to animals, so request a room in a house where there are no pets unless they are hypoallergenic. Depending on the house, I may need to bring my own fridge due to allergies to fish and possible cross-contamination with other housemates. I am happy to continue to get this PAT tested as I have done this last year whilst renting.
I am easy about whom I live with, but I am looking for a quiet, clean house and will treat the space with as much courtesy as if my own home.
I am married, and my husband and I rent out a flat we own (Gloucestershire), so I am aware of what it means to be a landlord. I moved from Gloucestershire when I gained a place at Plymouth, but my husband has remained with our mortgaged home. This means my husband may come to visit up to once per month, and I will commute home quite regularly (typically weekends).
I am quite sporty and used to be a tennis coach in a past life, I enjoy the gym, and used to powerlift competitively. I love walking and the outdoors and since moving to Plymouth have loved sea swimming (although I'm not a strong swimmer!).
When im inside, I read, paint, and draw, and I do love watching some trashy TV with some wine!
